An Open Forum on Flooding

What’s working, what’s needed?

Overview

Join us to find out about preparing your community to respond to emergencies and adverse conditions

Is your community prepared for flooding?

Have you or your neighbours been affected by flooding or are concerned that you may be in the future? You are invited to a public meeting on Wed 24th September in Harbertonford Village Hall 6 – 8pm.

  • Share your experiences
  • Find out where to get help
  • Understand how to navigate statutory services
  • Hear from Devon Community Resilience Forum
  • Plan your response to flooding
  • Find out why to plan, what to include and hazards and risks to know about.

Devon Community Resilience Forum helps communities plan and coordinate their responses to potential emergencies. We are not able to influence decisions about engineered solutions to flood management, though we do pass our findings to relevant agencies and work with them so we can offer the best advice.

Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.

We welcome members of other parishes. If this is too far for you to travel, contact us for a workshop in your area of Devon.
